Pre-Waxing & Post-Waxing Instructions
- Pre-Waxing -*For body waxing, the hair needs to be at least 1/8" long. *No Sun or Tanning beds 24 hours prior. *You can take ibuprofen to help with swelling, redness, and pain. *Showering prior to your appointment is necessary. *Refrain from alcohol, an abundance of caffeine, and sun exposure prior to your appointment as it can cause the follicles to tighten and therefore your waxing experience to be more painful. *If you are waxing during your cycle your skin will be more sensitive and you may experience more discomfort than normal. *Schedule your body waxing ~4 weeks apart to enjoy better hair removal results, less discomfort, and to encourage a regular pattern of hair growth. *We welcome men's waxing but we do not offer men's brazilian services at this time.
- Post-Waxing - *Refrain from exposing the skin to tanning beds or the sun for at least 24 hours after waxing *Avoid tight clothing on waxed areas to help prevent ingrown hairs and irritation. *After 2-3 days, use a clean loofah or washcloth to gently exfoliate the recently waxed area. *Avoid saunas, hot tubs, pools, lakes, etc for a minimum of 24 hours. *Refrain from activities that cause you to sweat or become hot as it can irritate the waxed area.
