I believe that this program was a gift from God. Something only he would know just how much I needed. Just being able to talk through my fears and worries and challenges made a world of difference in finding my way to healthier me. I have learned that it helps to track your food choices. It really opened my eyes to what I was eating. It’s a great tool for behavior modification. I have learned that if I am reaching for unhealthy food choices that it is linked with emotion. Emotion that can be deadly sabotaging, and can lead to that vicious cycle of self loathing. I believe that retiring from my 30 year career, loosing my parents, finding out I was a diabetic and many, many other health problems grounded me. Mix in a pandemic and it’s a perfect recipe for depression. I’m not sure if I was depressed as much as I felt grounded, isolated and maybe a bit lost. No movement, just a spot on the couch that was all mine, and by god I felt like I had earned it. Until one year went by and still no movement. I knew I needed to get up and exercise, but I made every excuse in the book not to. I couldn’t find the strength to do it on my own. This is where I think this program saved me. I am now up and moving and have committed to an exercise program. I am hoping I can stay consistent and strong in my commitment. I’m scared, but I know Kathy will be there for me. It helps so much knowing I have someone to help me talk these things through. Someone that I can set goals, with and tell me that everything will be ok. This has been invaluable too me. I have also learned that food and exercise are just a piece of the circle of health. The circle of life. A balance. A journey that I don’t have to go through alone. Journaling and meditating, going within are tools that I have learned to put in my toolbox of health. Things I now know are a part of that circle. Native Americans believe the symbol of the circle is important meaning equality and the beginning and the end. There is power in being in that circle, and I now feel more confident that I am closing in the gaps that I have created for myself over the past several years. I can now feel stronger in being a part of that circle. For the first time in a long time I have goals and a commitment to the future of becoming healthier. When I first moved to the Norman area, I visited several Day Spa's to see which one I would like to visit on a regular basis. Well I found it! Le Visage Day Spa is one of the best ever! The staff is friendly, very well trained, the Spa is beautiful, and it is such a treat for me to go there every month. Oh did I happen to mention that my skin looks better than it ever has!!! Thank you Kathy and the entire staff for making this such a special place!

On Monday I had an appointment with Courtney for a facial. It was my first time at Le Visage and I was amazed by the entire experience! My wife treats me to massages as gifts and I have been all over Norman to try them all. Last year, I asked her to stop trying new places, and only buy my gifts at Le Visage. They are, by far, the most guy-friendly, professional and quality spa in our city. This is the place to go for excellent service and products.
